Under the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, landlords and property owners are legally required to ensure that all electrical installations are safe and well-maintained. A valid EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) demonstrates compliance and helps prevent electrical hazards, fines, or insurance issues.
At EICR CERT, our qualified and NICEIC-approved engineers carry out detailed electrical inspections across London and the M25 — ensuring your property meets all BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) standards and remains fully compliant with UK law.
An EICR Certificate is generally valid for 5 years for rental and commercial properties, though the duration can vary depending on the type, age, and condition of the electrical installation. Landlords must renew their EICR at least every 5 years or at the start of each new tenancy to remain legally compliant under UK electrical safety regulations.
Our qualified engineers will guide you on the appropriate inspection frequency to ensure your property remains safe, compliant, and ready for inspection at all times.
With over 10 years of experience in the electrical compliance industry, EICR CERT is trusted by landlords, letting agents, and business owners across London and the M25 for reliable EICR Certificates and electrical safety inspections.
We offer EICR Certificates starting from just £79, including a full inspection and certification.
Our pricing is transparent and competitive — with no hidden charges.
At Landlord Certification, we take electrical safety and compliance seriously. Every EICR inspection is carried out by fully qualified and accredited engineers who meet the highest professional standards across the UK. We are proudly certified by NICEIC, NAPIT, City & Guilds, and TrustMark, ensuring all our work complies with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) and follows strict government-approved safety guidelines. Posted on AmilkaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. TL;DR Prompt service, reasonable price. I had to get my EPC, Gas Safety and EICR certificates done for my property and time was of the essense! I made the booking online (only two working days in advance) and shortly after recieved a call to confirm the details. As was suggested I recieved the Gas and EPC certificates within 48 hours of the job taking place but the eletricals in the flat needed some work to bring it up to satifactory level. Upon recieve the eletrical certificate I spoke to one of the team via WhatsApp and booked the work to remedy the electrical issues to bring it up to Satifactory level, this was for the following Tuesday. All in all it the turnaround, including the work that needed to be done and that satisfactory certificate was about a week, really pleased, thank you!Posted on Elaine HakeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Would highly recommend EICR CERT. An EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) is an official document that confirms your property’s electrical systems are safe and compliant with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations). It’s a legal requirement for landlords and a key part of property safety for both commercial and residential buildings.
For rental and commercial properties, an EICR must be renewed every 5 years, or at the start of a new tenancy. However, older or high-usage installations may require more frequent inspections based on the engineer’s recommendation.
Most inspections take 1 to 3 hours, depending on the property’s size and condition. After the inspection, you’ll receive a digital EICR report within 24 hours, detailing any issues and their recommended corrective actions.
If your property doesn’t meet the required safety standards, our engineers will clearly list all issues and recommend practical, affordable solutions. Once the remedial work is completed, we’ll issue a satisfactory EICR Certificate, ensuring full compliance with UK regulations.
